Richard De Liberty

Richard is a trusted, tenacious litigator known for smart analysis, incisive writing, and compelling trial advocacy. He has significant experience over the past thirty years in disputes involving copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and patents as well as complex business disputes, bankruptcy-related litigation, and enforcing writs and judgments.

Richard has handled many trials and arbitrations, often as lead trial counsel. He is also an accomplished appellate lawyer with an impressive record of success, including multiple wins in the Ninth Circuit.

Richard is an honors graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. Before he joined BLG, Richard practiced at Jenner & Block in Chicago and Heller Ehrman in San Francisco.
