Jayson marshals nearly two decades of legal experience as a business-savvy litigator, trial attorney, and advocate. He focuses his litigation practice on high stakes patent, trade secret, copyright, and other technology-related disputes before courts and arbitrators. Before joining BLG, he spent sixteen years litigating IP disputes at Morrison & Foerster and Paul, Weiss. He also applies his experience as former Satellite Policy Director for SpaceX where he overcame complex and often contentious regulatory challenges relating to spectrum use before the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
Jayson’s technical background as an engineer and scientist, which includes a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, helps him to tackle any technology he encounters. Before becoming a lawyer, he developed and patented innovative technology related to optical communications, quantum cryptography, and quantum computing at MagiQ Technologies, Inc., and The MITRE Corporation.
Jayson is not licensed to practice law in California. He is based in New York City and licensed to practice law in the State of New York and before the United State Patent and Trademark Office.
